Hackathon

A social coding event that brings computer programmers and designers together to improve upon or build a new software program.

Harmonizing clinical and population health data

Refers to all efforts to combine data from different sources and provide users with a comparable view of data from different studies.

Health literacy

The degree to which individuals have the capacity to obtain, process, and understand basic health information and services needed to make appropriate health decisions.

High leverage areas

The most optimal practice or point of intervention.

Holistic approach

An approach that considers the total system instead of just to its parts.

Household interviews

The process of collecting and analyzing data to help us understand the general situation and specific characteristics of individual household or all households in the population.

Human-centered design

A design and management framework that develops solutions to problems by involving the human perspective in all steps of the problem-solving process. Human involvement typically takes place in observing the problem within context, brainstorming, conceptualizing, developing, and implementing the solution.
